Rasor Rants | Vintage Vibes Senior Portraits

Vintage Vibes & Timeless Tunes: A Senior Session for an Old Soul Who Lives for Music

From the moment we started planning this session, I knew it was going to be special. When this senior shared sample photos that were vintage-inspired and inside of the a record store, I was instantly all in.

We chose a local favorite, Bizarre Bizarre in the heart of Fort Collins, Co. There’s something magical about record stores. The warm tones, textured walls, endless rows of vinyl, and nostalgic atmosphere create the perfect backdrop for a session rooted in personality and storytelling. Every corner feels like a time capsule, and for this senior, it was the ideal space to reflect their love of music and timeless style.

We leaned fully into the vintage vibe — soft light, warm tones, relaxed posing, and intentional details. Flipping through records, pausing to read album covers, and soaking in the atmosphere created moments that felt completely natural and authentic. We even spotted a jukebox and a couple of really cool old typewriters!

This session was about celebrating individuality. About capturing who they are right now — a music-loving, introspective, creative spirit standing on the edge of their next chapter. Senior photos should feel like you, not a cookie-cutter version of what senior portraits “should” be. And this shoot was a perfect reminder of that.

To the senior who trusted me with this vision — thank you for letting me create something so personal and meaningful. Your love of music, your bubbly presence, and your old-soul energy made this session unforgettable.
