Rasor Rants | The Box Journey Pt 4

Guess What?! Within 24 hours of announcing my Inside the Box sessions, I got two bookings!! *cue mind blown*

You must be thinking… WOW! This girl must really have great marketing skills! I do not! …But, I do have supportive friends and colleagues! I decided to stack these sessions on a different day than my scheduled “Box Day” to free up the original slots for other clients.

My first session in the studio was for my friend Justin, and his family while his oldest kiddo was visiting from out of town. We added the Inside the box session onto his traditional family session in Old Town Fort Collins. After we captured the essence of Old Town and got plenty of updated family photos we headed back to the studio! Justin has a side hustle with PRUVIT and wanted to use the composite idea to showcase the products that he so proudly represents! The kiddos loved the idea and fell right into character!

Later that night, I photographed my bestie Marie with her husband and furbaby! Bowie absolutely stole the show and added such a fun and chaotic element to the whole experience. We wanted as many photos including Bowie as possible, which took some real dog whisperer tricks to get him to do. Believe it or not… dogs do not sit, pose, and smile very easily. Marie had so many cute ideas, including Bowie; sneaking him a cookie, playing tug, and him playing with his favorite Christmassy toy. His little puppy head tilt just melts me!

I had the idea to try to start a hashtag #insidetheboxfoco and try to get people to spread the word through pictures of them holding signs after every session! Is it trending and driving lots of traffic my way??!! No… not yet. Will it ever?! Also no. But it’s not going to stop me from trying!
