Rasor Rants | The Box Journey Ep. 5 (Copy)

Well, the time had come… BOX DAY, BABY!!

I had booked 5 sessions for day one of the Inside the Box sessions! I had also snuck in a quick headshot session between the box shoots for a client who needed a quick turnaround. 6 sessions in one day! Yikes! Bring on the coffee!

We got to the studio early and prepped! We had a craft station to keep the kiddos busy while they waited their turn, snacks, and cocoa to prevent anyone from getting hangry(I am “anyone”), and a big inflatable gnome right outside the door to gain the attention of those walking by!

After we set up, I looked at my phone and saw that my first session cancelled due to illness. Womp womp. I decided to see if any interested people on the street may want to fill the gap, and I was able to round up two families for quick minis! That brought my total session found for the day up to 7!!

The day went smoothly and perfectly! I had a family who wanted an underwater theme where they pretended they were all pirates! I did a session for a couple with two beautiful pups! I had a family of four who had sooooo many holiday traditions they wanted to showcase! My favorite session of the day was for my friends with Punk Rock Saves Lives out of Denver! I still don’t know how we were able to fit 6 adults into the box at the same time! I will likely expand on some of these sessions in future blogs because we had to get creative with some of these scenes to get them to line up!

Box Day was incredible! I couldn’t have asked for a better turnout! All of my clients were wonderful to work with, and we all shared so many laughs and an abundance of creativity!
