Rasor Rants | The Box Journey Pt 2

Step two of getting this box thing off the ground was to create marketing images!! I think it’s so so soooo important to create and use your own images for marketing! (Pro Tip: Do not rip off some other photographer’s work from Pinterest and use it to advertise! Just don’t!)

After some prop shopping and set design, I recruited the help of some lovely friends to test out the box. We set up in my messy garage and got after it! The families who volunteered who super excited to help and even came with their own ideas that were specific and special to their families! I’m truly grateful to have friends who are willing to help me bring my visions to life!

I set up my Flashpoint 300pro slightly to the left of the camera with a 36-inch softbox and put my camera on a tripod.
It’s VERY important that you don’t move the light or tripod, as consistency is key in making these believable! I did eventually add a reflector to the right side of the box to fill in some of the harsh shadows created by the flash.

After all of the images were captured, it was time to create composites!! Check out my sample marketing images below!
